DANNY (24 years old) is a successful project manager who struggles to convince his overprotective Indian American family that he will be fine living on his own. When he finally gets his family’s blessing to move out, Danny sets out to find a home of his own. Tired of the big city, he sets his eyes on a small city (E
scondido, California). Danny manages to find a job and a beautiful home. The only problem is that nothing is what it seems to be. As Danny gets to know his neighbors, he learns that all his neighbors fit their stereotypes. On his left, Danny’s neighbor is a Southern white racist named BILLY. On the right, the other neighbor is a Black Panther, TODD. Down the street, a big Mexican flag hangs from JUAN’s house. Unable to get out his contract, Danny is forced to deal with his neighbors’ shenanigans, as his neighbors play race wars. As time goes by, Danny learns to be the grownup at work and at home, keeping the peace.
