CBD influencer marketing. It’s ALL the buzz, but is it worth the hype?
Bringing on an influencer to help promote your CBD brand can be a powerful asset for increasing sales + gaining new followers. BUT, when choosing an influencer, it is important to have an understanding of how big their following is and what that means for working with your brand.
Influencers are typically broken down into 4 categories:
1. Celebrity-Level Influencers: Think here. These influencers have a following of at least a million people.
2. Macro Influencers: These influencers have a following of 100k - 500k.
3. Micro-Influencers: This crowd has a following of 10k - 100k.
4. Nano Influencers: Lastly, this is for anyone who has a following of under 10k.
While the first two categories are powerful for reaching a very large, broad audience, working with Micro and Nano Influencers has its charm. Given that their audience is smaller, they usually know their niche a bit better and have shown to have a higher success rate with campaigns. Given this, it is important to define your goals before choosing someone to work with and then go from there based on what you hope to accomplish.
