Hello All,

From everyone here at Sunward Flag, we hope this email finds you healthy and safe in these uncertain times. While we have implemented strict social distancing and other safety procedures, Sunward Flag remains open for business.

We are now offering protective face masks on our Etsy shop. The CDC recommends everyone begin wearing face coverings in public. While cheap masks have swept the market, few offer quality assurance and can withstand constant machine washings between use. With many states extending stay-at-home orders, availability of quality, durable masks is essential for public health and safety.

With two layers of reinforced 100% cotton fabric, our masks can withstand necessary washing to ensure the health and safety of the wearer. Our masks also have a pocket for filter inserts, a flexible aluminum nose band, and elastic stretch ear bands. All masks are adjustable and pleated folds allow adjustment to fit any wearer's face. And of course, each mask is made with sustainably sourced fabrics, locally-sewn, and made in the USA. Our masks are available for small and bulk orders on our Etsy website.

Turn your eyes skyward today. In accordance with San Diego Mayor Faulconer's directive we're flying US flags at half staff today in tribute to every American, Californian, and Diegan who has fallen to COVID-19.

I'm directing flags at all City of San Diego buildings and facilities to fly at half-staff in tribute to every American, Californian and San Diegan who has fallen to COVID-19, and in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in hard-hit places like New York — where the most lives in any state have been lost and Governor Andrew Cuomo is calling the toll worse than 9/11.

The sudden passing of so many fellow Americans from a pandemic disease is unparalleled in modern history. It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the continued loss of life and I ask that you join me by keeping the departed in your thoughts and prayers.
