A first look at the new visual identity, signage system, and environmental graphics concepts created for Webster Elementary in collaboration with Studio WC and San Diego Unified School District.
The Webster Elementary identity system was designed to create a more engaging, welcoming, and connected campus experience through visual identity, signage, and environmental graphics.
Inspired by the school’s “Wise Owls” spirit and Academy of Science and the Arts, the system blends curiosity, creativity, learning, and community into a cohesive visual language designed to extend across the entire campus.
At the heart of the identity is a reimagined owl mascot, redesigned with cleaner forms, playful energy, and flexibility across signage, murals, print, digital, and environmental applications. Supporting illustrations and graphic elements draw from themes of science, exploration, art, and imagination, helping transform the campus into a space that feels vibrant, inclusive, and full of personality.
