Twenty-five years. A quarter of a century. And yet, for those of us who witnessed September 11th, 2001, it still feels like yesterday. 🕊️
The images, the sounds, the overwhelming sense of disbelief—they're etched into memory with a clarity that time hasn't dimmed. Every year on this day, we are transported back to that moment when everything stopped and nothing would ever be quite the same again. But there's an entire generation now who wasn't there. Young people who know 9/11 only through history books, documentaries, and stories like this one. To them, it's a chapter in the past, not a lived experience that shaped their worldview.
This is why we remember. This is why we share. This is why we refuse to let the passage of time erase the significance of what happened.
We remember the 2,977 souls we lost. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger. We hold space for the families forever changed. We acknowledge how that day rippled through our nation and world in ways we're still processing.
We will never forget.
