Our CEO Grant Wright was formally invested as one of Canada’s Global Executives at the residence of Canada’s Consul General in Los Angeles, Sylvie Bédard last week. 🍁

The ceremony welcomed two other executives into their roles and was followed by a reception organized by the MAPLE® Business Council. Southern California-based Canadian business leaders gathered to celebrate and participate in a timely discussion on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement and the importance of strengthening cross-border trade relationships.

Grant’s appointment reflects both his leadership and the role communications plays in helping organizations navigate complex, interconnected markets. Moments like this reinforce (W)right On Communications' focus on relationships, whether they're built between countries, companies or communities. Trust, dialogue and a shared commitment to mutual success are always at the foundation of strong relationships and all were on display during last week's event.

Congratulations to Grant and his fellow appointees, and thank you to Consul General Bédard, her team and the Maple Business Council for bringing together a conversation that matters!

We’re proud to see Grant Wright named a San Diego Business Journal CEO of the Year finalist.

If you know Grant, you also know recognition isn’t something he seeks. But it’s certainly well deserved.

Grant has led (W)right On Communications through constant change in how organizations earn trust, manage scrutiny and communicate in moments that matter.

His strategic mindset has shaped how the agency has evolved—including the launch of WOC | Resonance and WOC | Signal—bringing greater focus to the distinct environments organizations operate in today.

And over the past year, his steady leadership and experience have helped guide the firm, our client partners and our industry and community partners through periods of economic uncertainty and an increasingly complex global landscape.

Congratulations to Grant and all of this year’s finalists!

We’re introducing something new! We’ve launched two specialized agencies within (W)right On Communications:

✨ Resonance — focused on building community trust for clients in senior living, tourism, education and nonprofit sectors.

⚙️ WOC | Signal — focused on complex, high-stakes B2B industries like clean energy, advanced manufacturing and cybersecurity.

Heightened stakeholder expectations and growing technical complexity are shaping how organizations communicate today. Both agencies reflect that shift and allow us to bring even greater focus to our work for client partners.

WOC | Resonance is led by Director David Cumpston and is built on a simple principle: align stakeholders first, then amplify. WOC | Signal is led by Managing Director Larry Smalheiser and views credibility as the key to growth in complex markets.

Both agencies share leadership, talent and infrastructure with (W)right On Communications, under the direction of President Julie Wright and CEO Grant Wright, and draw on nearly 30 years of experience and shared expertise in crisis communications, creative strategy, AI visibility PR and executive media training.

👉 Follow WOC Resonance on Facebook and WOC | Signal on LinkedIn to stay up to date. And learn more about both agencies in our press release: https://wrightoncomm.com/woc-resonance-woc-signal-pr.

AI is changing how companies are talked about online and it’s raising the stakes for executive interviews.

Today, AI tools scan and summarize quotes, articles and commentary from leaders. That means interviews don’t fade the way they used to. Instead, they accumulate and help shape how organizations are described across AI platforms.

In our latest blog, we explore why media training matters more in the AI era and how consistent executive messaging helps shape long-term digital narratives.

Destination marketing organizations are operating in increasingly complex environments, from housing pressures and resident sentiment to funding scrutiny and political oversight. In that context, destination leadership requires more than promotional expertise. It requires civic judgment.

Our AVP David Cumpston shares his latest insights on what it means for DMOs to lead like public servants — grounded in stewardship, accountability and long-term community legitimacy.

Tourism doesn’t sit outside the civic ecosystem. It shapes local economics and public trust. The most durable destination organizations understand that their role carries public responsibility, not just marketing objectives.

After nearly 40 years of marriage, Alzheimer’s could not erase his love. So he asked her to marry him all over again. (She said yes!) 💛

A resident living with Alzheimer’s asks his wife to marry him regularly, having forgotten they are already husband and wife. When our team learned about this heartwarming moment, we partnered with The Ivy Berkeley to help elevate the story with care and respect.

Surrounded by family, caregivers and fellow residents, the senior living community hosted a special wedding celebration in their honor.

The result? More than two dozen media placements across broadcast, digital and social platforms, reaching an estimated three million viewers locally, nationally and around the world.
But what mattered most was the reminder this moment gave families: living with dementia is still about dignity, connection and shared humanity.

How strategic senior living PR drives measurable results:
• Increase tour requests
• Generate qualified memory care inquiries
• Support occupancy growth in competitive markets
• Build brand authority through earned media coverage
