Renting vs. buying — which actually costs you more? 🏡

The answer isn't always as obvious as you might think.

I plugged a real-world example into my Buy vs. Rent Calculator and changed the rent, home price and how long someone plans to stay.

In this example, buying came out ahead by about $34,000 over 5 years — after accounting for the equity built in the home.
