Most people prepare for interviews by studying tech.

I prepare differently.

Here’s what actually gets you the offer:

1. Hydrate your body:

You’re nervous. Your brain needs water to perform. Most people show up dehydrated and wonder why they blank out. Replenish consistently before every interview.

2. Meditate & reaffirm who you are:

Before you walk in, rewire your mindset. Tell yourself you are a professional. You deserve this money. You deserve this seat. You have to believe it before they do.

3. Show up presentable every single time:

4 interviews? 5 interviews? Doesn’t matter. Suit and tie every round. You’re not an amateur. Stop showing up like one.

4. Be consistent - not perfect:

Nothing comes overnight. Keep learning. Keep adapting. AI is changing everything. Level yourself up mentally, spiritually, and physically. That’s what separates the ones who get the offer from the ones who don’t.

Writing this while crossing from Utah through Arizona, heading back to California.

This year wasn’t built through highlight moments. It was built through long stretches of focused work in cybersecurity.. learning the craft, sharpening judgment, and operating like a professional, not an amateur.

The travel is intentional, but it isn’t the point. Time like this is earned after months in the trenches. It creates space to reflect, reset, and extract lessons before putting my head back down and going even harder.

Cybersecurity rewards discipline, patience, and consistency. The same way real progress in life does. I’ve spent this year building skills that compound, thinking long-term, and holding myself to a higher standard than what’s expected.

No shortcuts. No image chasing. Just quiet ex*****on.
