It was an honor to be present at the San Diego Unity Bar’s Two-Year Anniversary event Sempra

The event featured keynote speaker Justice Martin Jenkins (Ret.) and honors the San Diego Judicial Mentorship Program. They also recognize local bar leaders Ramesses Surban and Ted Holmquist, whose leadership was instrumental in the creation of the San Diego Unity Bar.

Last year, the Arab American Bar Association of San Diego held their Inaugural Gala where they brought together attorneys, judges, law, students and community leaders from across San Diego for an evening of connection, recognition and celebration.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, their much anticipated Annual Gala is taking place and tickets are selling! It is truly an honor to be apart of this ever growing organization. Very much looking forward to attending and building more meaningful connections!

Still buzzin from last week’s event! The team absolutely crushed it. So blessed to have met so many amazing people.

One thing is for sure, will never replace real, physical human interaction. The vibes, the energy, the aura, the emotions… it’s what makes us human!

Onwards and upwards!

I attended the (AMP) kick off last night at San Diego State University as a SDSU Alumni and mentor.

It was such a full circle moment for me because I met a lot of bright students who are coming from all walks of life. Some were already in internships in their sophomore year, taking on projects and responsibilities which will only set them up for success in the future.

And then there were some that felt lost… don’t have a sense of purpose, don’t know where they should start, who they should talk to…

The good thing is… They have plenty of time to figure it out.

Having the right people guiding them and cheering them on is easy… the hard part is actually taking the first step and acknowledging that they need help, maybe even putting their egos aside.

Towards the end of the event, I found myself repeating a few things to students regardless of industry:

1) Find a mentor that has made all the mistakes, someone who has been in your shoes, someone who is in the trenches day in and day out so they can advise you on what to do and what NOT to do.

2) This is the time to make mistakes - whether at school or in an internship. Go all in and learn from your mistakes because the professional world is less forgiving.

3) Get comfortable being uncomfortable. The only way to grow and figure out what you want is to get out of your comfort zone! Now is the time.

I’m really glad I attended and I look forward to the next event.

Please reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat.
