Old ways of healing won’t change our modern ailments of depression and anxiety. We must reprogram the belief that pills are the sole method of medication. In most instances, cannabis works best as a solution when consumed in FULL-SPECTRUM form (in comparison to isolated cannabinoids).

Why does this matter? According to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America:-From the time a girl reaches puberty until about the age of 50, she is twice as likely to have an anxiety disorder as a man.

-Anxiety disorders also occur earlier in women than in men.
-Women are also more likely to have multiple psychiatric disorders during their lifetime than men.
-Women reduce their prescription drug usage by 50% when they introduce cannabis into their regimen

was trending last month. A narrative that failed to trend along with it? The fact that from 2006-2013 cannabis use among seniors increased by 250% and Americans 50+ are the fastest adopters of cannabis [according to the Journal of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine]. These stats are surprising - but what do they mean? Why does it matter? For one, 50% of the U.S. population will be 65+ by 2029. Furthermore, cannabis offers a unique solution to ailments specific to seniors. Tune in to our fourth episode of How To Do the Pot: “The Pharma Episode,” live tomorrow. We chat with Shari Horne as she shares her experience as a senior who consumes cannabis. Don’t forget to RATE US on Apple Podcasts, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE with your friends.
