Jose Gonzalez was honored by the Tigres de Lacey in the Dominican Republic. He was a part of two Caribbean League and two Dominican League Championships.
He is also a 1988 World Series Champion.
In 1988 he recorded the putout that gave Orel Hershiser the consecutive streak shoutout record of 59 innings.
