India’s Chandrayaan 3 Mission: A Boost To Global Space Race
The successful landing of India’s Chandrayaan 3 mission on the lunar south pole is a major milestone for the country and a boost to the global space race. India is now only the fourth country to successfully land on the moon, after the United States, Russia, and China.
The Chandrayaan 3 mission continues India’s long-standing commitment to space exploration. The country’s first lunar mission, Chandrayaan-1, was launched in 2008. Chandrayaan-2, launched in 2019, attempted to land on the moon’s south pole, but the lander Vikram was lost during the final descent.
