When working on EarnIn's design system, we didn’t just focus on and . We also prioritized designing the UX of the designer & developer experience to ensure ease of use, driving adoption, alignment, and smooth collaboration.
About the project:
Forge supported EarnIn’s upcoming rebrand through a platform-agnostic, multi-brand design system, unifying their apps and scaling their user experience for current & future needs. It also paved the way for their new product channel!
One of the primary goals was to streamline the process of working with the system, enabling cross-functional teams (XFN) and simplifying developer handoff. We used to manage our tokens, apply styles to components, and sync with the system's GitHub repo.
Design system highlights:
🌗 Token-based = light and dark modes
🍱 Tile-based UI for better organization
🔄 Slot strategy for flexible component placement
👕 T-shirt sizing & spacing systems for consistent layouts
🏎️ Pre-made content components to speed up design with realistic content
New channel 0→1
The design system supported the launch of EarnIn’s first responsive web product, creating a unified baseline UX across platforms.
