We just dressed the windows at 1318 Grant Ave. in the heart of North Beach, for "Qua-o-La" a soon-to-open wine bar and small-plate café,
with sleek luminous mirror-gold graphics that catch the light and gleam with a warm shimmer that turns heads along the sidewalk.

By day, the gold flashes against the bustle of the neighborhood; by night, it glows like candlelight in a glass. Qua-o-La hasn’t even uncorked its first bottle yet, and already it’s sparkling.
