Our Glasgow employees have voted, and it’s official: Alzheimer Scotland is our chosen Scottish charity
for the next year.

An essential resource for people with dementia, not to mention their carers and families, Alzheimer
Scotland campaigns for the rights of people with dementia, and funds vital research. With 21 Dementia
Resource Centers across Scotland, the charity provides a safe, friendly environment, runs a 24-hour
helpline and employs a network of advisors to support local communities.

We welcomed Gail Dolan, Stakeholder Engagement Lead for the charity, to a lunch session at our
Glasgow office, and the team learned more about the different ways we can get involved, through
fundraising and volunteering. Plus, there was pizza, which never hurts!

Our media manager David was recently invited to share his views on a proposed postgraduate course, Marketing Ethics, Consumption and Technology, soon to be on offer at the University of Glasgow.

The team were keen to hear our professional perspective on how to prepare graduates for a career in the digital marketing world, and the biggest challenges facing it. David highlighted the importance of the paid perspective, as we move towards a cookie-less world, the dos and don’ts of using first-party data in light of GDPR and potential pitfalls when it comes to the misuse of that data.

With this new relationship, we not only hope to deliver a better experience for students, but having an ongoing dialogue means we can be ready for career conversations come graduation, and maybe even collaborate again in the future.

Period poverty affects millions of people all over the world – in fact, nearly 25% of all those who menstruate regularly struggle to access essential hygiene products. As a global agency, we wanted to play our part in tackling this situation.

That's why we’ll now offer free period products in our Glasgow, Brasov, and Bucharest offices. It’s something our colleagues have been calling for and, as we’re always listening to our people, we turned their words into action.

And we’re in good company: the historic Period Product Act came into force just last week in Scotland, which legally requires councils and education providers to provide complimentary period products. Let’s hope other countries follow suit!

We’re on the search for a talented Website Development Manager specializing in WordPress to join our award-winning global agency, to be based in the Nevada area, but work remotely.

As the leader of our website development group, your role will be to guide, develop, and grow a team of WordPress developers, front-end engineers, UX designers, and QA specialists across Scotland, Romania, Nevada, Ohio and Canada.

With at least five (ideally closer to ten) years’ experience in developing best-in-class websites, you’ll have expertise with WordPress (Drupal, Adobe CE/CQ etc. a plus), and be familiar with writing custom HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, following W3C coding practices and emphasizing site scalability and maintainability.

We’re flexible, we’re remote, and we encourage our team to broaden their horizons and see the world.

Fortunately, having so many international clients means there are always opportunities for us to do just that. In June, no fewer than nine members of the Transiris team were traveling in the States for in-person client workshops and on-location filming.

The team stopped off in San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and New York, and there was even time to enjoy some sights along the way, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Niagara Falls!
