New Bohemia Signs

This is Rocket 3.3, LV0012, currently docked in an atrium near the main entrance to Chabot Space & Science Center, in the Oakland hills, eagerly awaiting your visit. A week ago, I got to paint this star, near the tip of its hull, replacing a vinyl sticker that never would have made it into orbit. Prior to display duty, this rocket would have been slated for single use, delivering a satellite to space, and drifting down to the bottom of the ocean. So, *one* big piece of macroplastic (and aluminum, and who knows what else) *spared* from the sea!

Today, a client brought in a 1954 BSA Golden Flash, for which he wanted license plate style letters on the front fenders. Apparently, the bike was imported from Libya, where it had gotten its blue pearl paintjob.

I drew some numbers in Stabilo, and sat on a cushion on the floor to paint them.

I recently drew up some numbers and black lightning bolts for the rear fender of a client's Yamaha XT500, the gas tank of which I'd lettered earlier. Also, more or less traced a flying eyeball he provided. Sharp li'l ride!

This new hair stylist, , conveniently located along "the wiggle" bike route from the Mission to all points west, allowed me to wiggle my bike right up front and throw some gold on their transom window. Grand opening party later today (Sat, 25 Apr)!

Tessa marked the start of her fifth year painting for New Bohemia with a selection of some signs she's worked on in the most recent year. ALL my painters are much more thorough with their online documentation, no matter how many decades younger than me they are!
