The coolest part of our job, hands down.

It turns out that some of the most talented people working in the infrastructure world also possess some of the most incredible stories.

If you’ve spent any time around blue collar folks, this will come to you as no surprise.

Every single person we get on camera has something unique to tell us, something inspiring to share, and nine times out of ten, something about their work that they take extreme pride in.

It’s definitely not the right job for everyone, but it definitely attracts some of the kindest, most resilient, and most enjoyable humans.

Logistics plays a massive role in construction.

Some companies own their trucks, some broker out owner / operators to complete work and minimize fleet overhead.

It’s a competitive market but highly necessary.

Without on road trucks, drivers, and companies, materials don’t move from site to site.

What do most large companies lack?

Chad, Chris, and Larry Woods answered that question for me in February.

As I watched them hop from jobsite to jobsite, they shoveled tracks, took part in morning meetings, and operated equipment when needed.

They may own Woods Dirt Contractors but they work right alongside their people.

No fancy back office.

Just trucks, laptops, and a willingness to physically support their teams.

The culture starts with THEM.
