The 10 commandments of attitude and why it is important. In our business, it is 99% attitude and 1% ability. Attitude is essential to not only how you feel, but how you perform. In order to succeed you have to have the right mindset and motivation for your day.
Mizzou has 10 commandments that have helped people keep a positive outlook and view. Self-prophecy is a powerful tool, and successful people do not fall into success by accident.
1) It is attitude, not aptitude that governs altitude (ZIG ZIGLAR)
What it essentially means is that to be successful in any area of life you need to have the right attitude to approach any task or job.
2) The purpose of existence is not to make a living but to make a life. Have a reason why; to realize your purpose and to do things that are fulfilling and important to us
3) A negative thought is a down payment on an obligation to fail.
Every positive thought is an investment in your future. Manifest things and work towards it without looking back.
4) You will seldom experience regret for anything you’ve done. It’s what you don’t do that will torment you. Manifest things and work towards it without looking back. The more you look back, the more you will be pulled back
5) Complaining is the refuge of those who have no self-reliance. Stop making excuses.
6) The ultimate cost of something is the amount of life that you will exchange for it.
Your time is precious, what you do with it matters. Invest your time and efforts into something you believe in.
7) Anything a person’s mind can conceive and believe, he can achieve. Manifest your future and think of all the possibilities.
8) A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but it’s also more useful than a life spent doing nothing. You learn from your mistakes. Student mentality is needed in order to progress in the direction you want to go.
9) The worst bankruptcy is the person who has lost enthusiasm. You get out of life what you put into it.
10) Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. Don’t give people the power to steer you away from your dreams.
Naturally, we connect success with contentment. When we are pushing to be the best we can be, we should flock to what is going to make us the happiest. However, it is far too common for us to become dependent on our success for happiness that we entirely forget what contentment is altogether.
Lastly, it is important to remember to not expect too much of ourselves. Set realistic goals, keep them high, and you will not have any regrets. It’s not the things you do that you regret, but it’s what you never tried.
