Sand City Art Committee

Sand City Art Committee The Sand City Art Committee supports working artists throughout the area as well as producing city art events.

The Art Committee was formed by the City Council in 1995 to guide and encourage the growing artist community within Sand City. The primary function has been the organization and management of the annual West End Event, as well as supporting local artists and hosting art events throughout the year. All members are appointed:

The Sand City Art Comittee is hosting an open house at Monterey Sculpture Center this Saturday evening and will feature among other things a night time bronze pour. If you've never witnessed a pour it's not to be missed! I had the pleasure of starting my artistic career at the sculpture center in 1976 and am thankful for all they have taught me over the years. A working bronze foundry is rare to find these days and we are so fortunate to have them part of our artistic community. Come show your support for the arts and those who make it happen.
