📌Save this post as your itinerary for the perfect fall weekend in the Great Western Catskills!
First stop is Fleischmanns to browse the adorable shops downtown like DOOLITTLE’s and grab a bite to eat and drinks at The Print House.
Just up the road is the town of Arkville. Mornings Café and Market serves the best breakfast! Enjoy a scenic ride on the Delaware & Ulster Railroad and stop into Nana’s Attic to browse the eclectic items and antiques for sale.
The next town over is Margareteville which has a Main Street full of unique stores to shop at. Food and drinks from RAE’S is an absolute MUST! Hike the Dry Brook Ridge Trail for as short or as long as you’d like, escaping from the crowds and soaking in the autumn foliage.
The town of Andes has more adorable boutiques and vintage stores, and you must go into Diamond Hollow . Cafe Mutsi is the perfect spot for coffee and a delicious baked good. Stroll down the relaxing Andes Rail Trail.
I highly recommend taking this trip during the weekend of October 10/11 so that you can attend the Maple Shade Events Hootenanny Festival! This festival is full of family fun, with tons of incredible local vendors selling an array of goods, a beer garden, farm animals to pet, and live music, among other fun activities!
The Great Western Catskills can be an overlooked area in upstate New York, making it very underrated!
Fall is right around the corner, so plan your weekend with Great Western Catskills now !!
