the best! 🌊🩵
Creativity starts with inspiration... and educators who help us discover it.
This National Fine Art Appreciation Day, we're celebrating Heather Lewis, adjunct arts faculty member and accomplished artist here at YCCC.
Raised in Delaware by artist parents and trained at The Philadelphia College of Art, Heather brings more than three decades of artistic experience to her work. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Maine seacoast, her paintings capture the world around her with originality, energy, and emotional depth.
As an educator, Heather is passionate about helping students discover their own creativity. She encourages them to explore new ideas, take artistic risks, and develop confidence in their abilities. Her supportive and engaging approach helps students discover their unique creative voices while building the skills to bring their ideas to life.
Want to experience Heather's creativity firsthand? Her artwork is currently on display at The Chop House in Ogunquit and in the Pratt & Whitney Building lobby on YCCC's Wells campus through November 20th.
Thank you, Heather, for sharing your talent, passion, and creativity with our students and the broader YCCC community.
