Writer + Producer + Podcaster + Speaker + Mentor

My mission: To educate, entertain and empower others through on air and online content. Always armed with a creative solution to problems small and large, I take pride in flipping issues upside down and finding solutions quickly and simply. I’m a connector and humorist who grabs life by the horns while tickling its underbelly. There’s a good chance

I can fix it. And if I can’t, I’ll reach into my bullpen of experts who can. This page is the place where I share professional projects, creative and charitable passions, as well as random anecdotes. A little background on me:
• Over two decades of experience in daytime television, with a strong focus on women's programming, both scripted and unscripted.
• Over 10 years in the digital space producing written and video content with emphasis on strategy/managing social media efforts and staying on top of new media trends and technology.
• My favorite part of my career is as an on-air personality (both host & guest) and public speaker, discussing hot button topics women care about. Recent appearances and contributions: Good Morning America, Huffington Post, Dr. Drew, CNN, HuffPost Live, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Fox and more.

As a Gen X woman in business, I went to the school of hard work gets results. I remember at my first TV job in LA, I once clocked over 100 hours in a week because I tried to make myself irreplaceable, working three different positions (production coordinator, room producer, and creative producer) in the same week -- sometimes at the same time).

Blood, sweat, and tears were the name of the game. I gave it everything I had.

When I was an executive director working in TV syndication, and six months pregnant, my goal was to make them forget I was growing a life inside of me. (Nothing to see here, boys.)

I could do everything the guys were doing—and more. I would be available for my morning team at 7am, work all day, and then be approving promos up until 11pm for the night shift team.

I had to be unstoppable. Or they'd find someone who was.

And while I still carry some of that Gen X "watch me make it happen" attitude, I have learned a better way to work, one that includes flow and ease.

My clients now are absolute badass experts in their respective fields, and every one of them is committed to making an impact. But gone are the days of killing ourselves for the work. The work is impactful, and powerful, and so much fun.

Over the past several months, while working with an amazing client, I've actually begun to do things very differently. Through our work together, she's taught me more about how I want to show up in my business than I could have ever imagined.

She's taught me that it's possible to
💡 work smarter, with more flow
💡 make more money than we'd ever imagined
💡 have the time and energy for everything else life has to offer

Confession: I used to spend ridiculous amounts of money on courses, coaching, and events, trying to find that magic bullet to help my business thrive.

Not anymore.

I'm super selective when it comes to investing in myself and my business. But when Arlan Hamilton announced Your First Million Live, her first live event here being held here in LA in April 2024, I jumped in FAST.

If you don't know Arlan, you should. She's a hugely successful venture capitalist; her firm invests in companies led by women, people of color, or those who identify as LGBTQ. She's also an author, and host of the wildly successful podcast, Your First Million. Arlan knows so much about business, and she surrounds herself with incredibly successful people—like mind-blowingly successful. (Mark Cuban invested 6 mil in her company, btw)

Arlan's story is incredible, it wasn't long ago that she was homeless and living on food stamps. Today, she's investing millions into companies that are making a giant impact.

About the event: Your First Million LIVE is an event designed to amplify underestimated voices and talent. This event embodies Arlan's mission of nurturing the next generation of catalysts. During the event, you’ll receive the tools, resources, and connections to empower you to thrive as you work towards Your First Million!

Here's the thing: She's just emailed me that she's about to announce her speaker lineup in a few days and the price of all tickets will be going up. Seriously, when she announces these speakers, all bets are off – it's going to be insane.

Right now, not only will you get the lowest price available, but you actually get entry into her event for the next THREE years. And… Arlan also just announced you also get her Spark program for FREE (10,000 value) with a ticket to her live event! (I literally just bought this program but you get it FREE).

Arlan will be on The Grown-Ass Woman's Guide next month (I'm fangirling a little over this) and you'll get to hear more from this brilliant woman, but the price will not be the same next month when you hear the episode. All the deals and bonuses are only offered NOW. And... I have an awesome handy-dandy deal for you! Comment here or message me for a discount code. I'll see you in LA in April!

This one is for the Grown-Ass women creators: Writers, bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers, digital marketers, etc.

How do you want your audience to support your work?

Is consuming the content enough? Do you want them to share it? Review it? Respond to a prompt?

Do you want them to sign up for your newsletter?

Do you want them to patronize your sponsors or partners?

Do you accept donations through Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee?

If you answered yes to any of the above, do you have a clear call to action so they understand what you want them to do next?

I hear from so many women creators that they put everything they have into their content but feel frustrated with the ROI.

We have to stop:

1. Giving everything away for free and feeling frustrated that we feel depleted

2. Expecting that our audience will magically support us without us clearly communicating how

Your call to action should not be an afterthought, it's one of the most important things you can include in your content.

By the way, if you like the mission of Grown-Ass Creative or enjoy The Grown-Ass Woman's Guide podcast, it would be greatly appreciated if you'd Buy Me a Coffee! https://www.buymeacoffee.com/grownasswoman

If you're a podcaster and haven't produced a trailer lately, here are FIVE reasons to make it a priority.

1. A trailer immediately provides a quick preview of what your podcast (and you) have to offer. It establishes your expertise, brand, and voice, helping you stand out from other podcasts in your niche.

2. Feature your trailer on your website, in your email newsletters, or even in paid ads to promote your show. Picture this: Your ideal listener lands on your website, listens to the trailer (featured front and center), and knows exactly what you're all about. Hello, new customer!

3. Clip your trailer into compelling social media snippets and catch attention on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Pro tip: Be sure to let them know where to check out full episodes.

4. Collaborate with other podcasts in your niche by participating in a promo swap, a cross-promotional opportunity to promote each other by swapping trailers in an episode or as a standalone on the podcast feed. There's no easier way to get your promo in front of a similar audience!

5. Even if you're an established podcaster, producing a new trailer periodically will not only attract new listeners, but also provides an updated refresh for current listeners. A podcast trailer is the perfect opportunity to refine your message and mission, and remind listeners why they love your show!

PODCASTERS, when it comes to producing a trailer for your show, would you rather:

A. Have someone with 20+ years creating promos and trailers produce it for you?

B. Have someone with 20+ years creating promos and trailers teach you how to do it yourself?

(Spoiler alert: Yes, I am that person with 20+ years creating promos and trailers for network and syndicated television, and podcasts 🤪)

When I first heard Jenny Ketchepaw facilitate a Strengths Finder workshop, my mind was absolutely blown. After taking the CliftonStrengths assessment, it was a true a-ha moment and the first time I felt like I really understood the kind of work I should be doing (and what I should delegate and/or leave to others to handle).

I knew then that I wanted to bring this same experience to other creative women 40+ so that they, too, could feel empowered when taking that next leap in their career and/or business.

So I'm super excited to invite you to the very first workshop hosted by Grown-Ass Creative. Jenny has agreed to bring her dynamic, powerful coaching to empower you in making that next big -- or small -- career move.

Hear Jenny talk more about what you can expect in this two hour workshop, and then register to join us!

My Story...

Creative Coach + Podcaster + Writer + Speaker

Remember way back when in elementary school, once or twice a year you’d get the chance to buy a book at the book fair? That was my absolute favorite.

But instead of the latest Judy Blume or adding to my Little House in the Prairie library, I would seek out anything and everything I could find on television, behind the scenes stories, how shows are made, I was a TV ju**ie — not just watching but learning.

Flash forward to 1995, fresh out of college, I was working at a local Boston TV station with dreams of something even bigger.
