This quaint town in New Mexico (Santa Fe) is well worth the stop. Love the adobe business fronts, the local Native American Indian jewelry, pottery and handmade items on the square. The biggest hit was this cafe (Plaza Cafe) that served one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in awhile (chile relleno omelet with both homemade red and green sauce) and opened in 1907. Fabulous!

"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you.

Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways.

Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride."

Visiting all 50 states is probably on somebody’s bucket list, but studies show that out of 50 states, 8 is the average number most people have visited. Sadly, many never leave the state in which they were born. Put an X by all the states you have been to. Put a XX where you have lived. Passing through an airport counts--but flying over doesn't. The average is 8. I have been to all but six and planning to hit those in the next 12-18 months. 👍
