At Sensing Places, we started collaborations with selected thinkers, artists and storytellers to help them launch groundbreaking exhibits in museums, unconventional venues and online. Together, we are testing new formats of engagement with the public and transformational experiences, supported by innovative technologies.
We are glad to announce that the first outcome of these collaborations will be on display starting tomorrow in New York at the Department of Photography & Imaging Galleries in the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. The exhibit: cit.i.zen.ship: reflections on rights, features photographs, works on paper, writings, and video that reflect on human rights and notions of citizenship.
Dr Marcela Fuentes from Northwestern University designed an augmented reality piece to connect movements across borders to reiterate that women's rights are human rights and human rights are immigrant rights.
We plan to further develop this piece into an exhibit curated by Dr Fuentes using her work on
