THINKING WHILE
ON THE JOB EPI. 33 “NOT LIKE THE OTHER GIRLS?” Thinking While on the Job” is a mini-series that follows Jeremy, a disgruntled employee stuck in the grind of office life. Feeling trapped in a mundane 9-to-5, Jeremy uses his Instagram as a creative outlet—ranting, reflecting, and riffing on pop culture, clichés, and everyday nonsense.

Each episode is like hopping into Jeremy’s car during his lunch break—a quick escape from the office filled with offbeat observations, hilarious arguments, and unfiltered thoughts. The show isn’t about office life specifically, but the whole idea is that Jeremy needs this break, just like his viewers do.

My experience at the Tribeca Festival during the 2015 season was incredible—an amazing lineup of short films, notable celebrities, and a level of organization that really stood out compared to other festivals I’ve attended.

What makes it even more special is how the festival started. It was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff after the September 11 attacks to help revitalize Lower Manhattan and bring the community back together through storytelling and film.

Being there, you can really feel that purpose—it’s more than just a festival, it’s a space where creativity, culture, and community all come together.

“Finished my third book of the year: Better Living Through Criticism by A. O. Scott. It flips the idea of criticism—less about tearing things down, more about understanding, questioning, and seeing things from new angles. Definitely changed how I think about art and everyday life.”

The $2,500 Nickelodeon Audition: How Hungry Do You Really Want It? I talk about the time my agent called me with a last-minute Nickelodeon audition opportunity in LA. I share how I scrambled to book a flight and hotel, studied my lines obsessively for hours, and convinced my father to help me pay $2,500 for the trip from New York. When I arrived at the studio, the casting director switched the sides completely, making all my preparation worthless. Despite being the only person from New York in the room full of LA actors, I learned a crucial lesson: true hunger means being willing to sacrifice everything—your time, money, and resources—for just one shot, with no guarantees. If you’re not willing to make that sacrifice, you don’t really want it.
