We missed an entire week of work. After vehicle failure I had to cut a hole in my floor to access the fuel pump. After the pump was in (thank you Brian D Parkhurst for all your help including towing me twice!) I broke down again.. turns out it wasn’t even the fuel pump but a grounding strap underneath the vehicle. For those of you that remember I had trailer light issues for the last 2 years that I couldn’t trace. So I had Shawn Feller rig up a switch to alternate power so I could have lights.. well that ground strap also solved a 2 year trailer light mystery (I cleaned every ground strap i was aware of before this incident, this one was hidden very well!) While I had the doghouse off the motor I did the spark plugs while I had access. That was also a nightmare. Today I patched up the hole with some old license plates, folded all my moving blankets, organized my tools, refilled my shrink wrap wands, rolled up all my straps, cleaned and swept the van and trailer, just so I can continue to provide the professional service we offer. I did not get paid for any of that. Some of you might say well at least you didn’t have to pay a mechanic. No you are correct. Imagine working like a mechanic and not getting paid like a mechanic? Just so you can go back to work? Not only do we move your belongings but we make sure we are ready to move your belongings, we keep them safe! Also with my driving record as a professional driver and the ability to get a trailer just about anywhere you need it plays a major roll in efficiency and success. We work very hard. Especially after hours and before hours. Things nobody sees.. The joys of owning a business are very stressful at times. There is nothing easy about what we do. When somebody tells me my prices are to high it literally hurts my soul. Would you clock in and accept less money for the day? Honestly we don’t charge enough. If you had any idea of what happens behind the scenes you might understand. Where is my discount? We appreciate all of the repeat business and future customers who use us.
