It's Veganuary y'all! And that can only mean one thing...it's time to take a look at what we're putting on our plates and in our bellies. Unless you've been living under a rock, we should all know by now that what we eat doesn't just impact our health; it impacts the lives of our fellow creatures and the sustainability of our planet. With the onslaught of flooding we're experiencing in California right now, we can't think of a better time to remind ourselves that we need to be kinder to Mother Nature. Research shows that, by far, the greatest impact you can have on climate change is a shift to a plant-based diet. Not to mention that the switch will mean animals won't suffer needlessly just to delight our tastebuds. Making these connections is one of the most important things we can do, and it's an easy way to make ourselves feel good that we're actually getting off our butts to make a measurable change. If you're new to vegan food, challenge yourself to try it just one day a week. We've got tons of tips if you need some inspiration. Your body will thank you, the animals you're saving will thank you, and Mother Nature might just give you a giant hug. Happy eating!

We love Better; who doesn't? 
But in this case, what I mean is we love our lawyers, Sam and Liv, and the team at Better APC. We met Sam several years ago when he emailed us as a fellow B-Corp, just saying hi. I immediately connected to just the way he did that, no offers, no pressure, just connecting with a fun legal snippet he thought we might be interested in. Believe it or not, in ten years of Good Stuff, he's the only lawyer that's done that. So when we needed a new trademark expert, he was the first person we thought of.

So apart from a great lesson in email marketing, why do we partner with them? Well, they're a B-Corp, and that matters a lot to us. They put their money where their mouth is, are part of 1% for the planet, support democracy through voting, and are part of the Business for Good movement down in San Diego, where they're based. So that's a great start; we share the same values. But above all of that, they're generous with their time and knowledge; they don't make us feel like idiots when we inevitably ask the dumb client questions, and they talk in a way we can get.

We like to think of them as the unlawerly lawyers, they know their stuff for sure, but they're just down to earth, fun, and definitely don't take themselves too seriously. We also love their brand; it's real, authentic, and just them to a tee.

What's not to like? So now that's what we call Better all around.

Here's a tiny peek behind the curtain of the website we've been developing for 💚 It's been awesome to dive deep into their strategic work and learn all the ins and outs of how they help fight poverty here in the Bay Area. After extensive research, planning, and wireframing, we're now at our favorite point; design! This is when the site really comes to life, and we can develop graphic assets and treatments that highlight all the incredible work they do. We're so proud to partner with an organization like Tipping Point that is helping to solve one of our community's biggest issues. The Bay Area should be a place where everyone can prosper. Be on the lookout for more updates in the new year!

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our partners and clients living their brand to the fullest. When it comes to a proper brand rollout, the brand must deliver on its newfound positioning by utilizing the language and assets we've developed. For the Many has done an exceptional job of taking the brand we created and running with it. Since the rebrand in September 2021, they've doubled their donations and funding, won multiple counties on Good Pass Eviction, and just won a primary endorsement, Sarahana Shrestha, who could be the first democratic socialist from upstate New York in the state legislature. We can't wait to see what they do next and how the brand will continue to evolve and serve them well.

Cheers for client wins! We're thrilled to be heading out a new branding project with a sustainable coffee client. While we can't reveal too much yet, it's sure to be an exciting partnership, taking on new challenges we haven't done before. 🍻💛

We are devastated by today's Supreme Court ruling. As an office primarily made up of women, today was a sober day at Good Stuff. How can we focus on our work when our rights are being taken away. Having a baby is a personal choice, and access to safe abortion is a human right. Hold your loved ones tight, take a deep breath, and get your signs ready for the protests to come. We won't go back.

We're excited to share that the website we've created for our client, B Generous, is live! B Generous has developed a platform that will revolutionize the way people donate with the first-ever point of donation loan. Building the brand and its communication tools has been a fantastic experience. It's been a labor of love to get this site to where it is, and we couldn't do it without their dedicated team and, of course, Keep your eyes peeled for the case study coming soon.
