Ai & PR- Today’s takeaway from the ICMA Ignite Conference:
ICMA has been around for over 100 years...the oldest association for insurance marketing professionals. And today, I had the privilege of leading two interactive workshops for its members.

The speaker before me made a powerful point: in the age of AI, credibility isn’t just nice to have. It’s what ranks you higher. And that was the perfect segue into how you actually build that credibility, visibility, and trust.

My answer? Public relations.

When I asked how many are using press releases to build credibility, about one-third of the room raised their hands. That's a start, because PR drives word of mouth, both online and in the community. And Nielsen research says that 92% of new business comes from word of mouth - PLUS PR will help your brand come up in an AI search.

********So why.....when we know this.....are so many teams still pouring budgets into tactics that don’t build trust, visibility, or authority?
