👩🚒🔥🧑🚒 For years, I've known that Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company hosted one of the larger Sportman's Fests in western PA, combining a gun bash and cash bash of over $200k in prizes to benefit their station. Well, Weebuma recently had the opportunity to help streamline some of the fundraising process through a revamp of their event website. Wanted to bring more functionality to the site such as:
✅ Viewing all Prizes online
✅ Buying Tickets online
✅ Pairing of datasets for internal reporting
✅ Internal reporting and list of winners
✅ Public display of winning numbers directly on site
✅ Search abilities to see if your number won anything
✅ Manually entering sold ticket info
✅ Automation of online ticket sale integrations
✅ Positioning the site for future growth in automation.
Now, Saxonburg VFC is able to have live website updates of winning ticket numbers for those in attendance and at home, as well as easy reporting and identifying who the winning ticket belongs to for internal reporting (not sharing winners info publically at all, obviously). This positions the fundraiser to help grow thier fundraising goals that are needed to be met for their annual fundraising.
This was a fun project as it was one of the more advanced coding in Wix Velo we've had opportunity to do, pairing numerous datasets to each other, coding exporting capablities, and so much more that the average user will never see. We got to nerd out a bit.🤓
