• Oct. 17 — Oktoberfest: The Final Prost! at Journeyman in Valparaiso. Live music, seasonal food, contests, and a petting zoo.
• Oct. 17 — Boo at the Zoo, Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City. Costumes, candy, and family Halloween fun.
• Oct. 17 — Trail Creek Fall Festival at Nelson Park, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
• Oct. 17 & 31 — Trick-or-Treat in the Wild at Sandy Oak Ranch in Lake Village. Candy stops and animal encounters.
• Oct. 22–24 — Haunted Hayride at Woodland Park in Portage. A little fright to go with your fall night.

Still need pumpkins and a corn maze? Harvest Tyme in Lowell has its Fall Festival on Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 25, plus Pumpkin Glow on Friday–Sunday evenings. County Line Orchard in Hobart also has fall attractions and treats, and Haunted Hills offers nighttime scares on scheduled October dates.
Check each organizer’s page for tickets, hours, and weather updates before heading out.
Make a day of it: grab coffee from a local shop, visit an event, and finish with dinner at a neighborhood restaurant.
That’s what I love about Social Indoor NWI—helping local businesses get seen in the places our community gathers.
