Not everything needs to be monetized or fast-tracked. Sometimes the most strategic thing you can do for your business is step away from it and recharge.

In honor of Black Friday week and the spirit of spending money 🤪 💸, I wanted to share the 8 things I invested in 2025 during my first year of business!

1. SMM Scheduling Tools → for planning → for scheduling

Both are great platforms. Rella is perfect for visual Instagram planning, while Publer makes LinkedIn scheduling seamless with built-in poll + text post options.

2. Coaching Programs: I don’t just sell expert help — I get expert help. The right coaches and containers helped me build confidence, sharpen my positioning, and stay connected. Forever a student!!

3. A Brand Photoshoot: Quality brand photos changed how I am able to show up. It’s easier to create, easier to post, and I actually want to be visible when I have photos I love. Best confidence boost ever.

4. Networking Events: Putting myself in rooms with new people grew my confidence, network, and clarity. Online is great but real conversations build real trust. Show up.

5. Content Creation Tools: Lighting. Tripod. Mic. It’s the little things that turn content from a chore into a system. These tools made it easier to stay consistent and show up with quality.

6. Financial Services: Outsourcing my bookkeeping + tax support gave me back my time and peace of mind. Now I make cleaner decisions, faster. If you can outsource one thing? Start here 😜

7. AI Assistants: AI has been a game-changer. I use ChatGPT, Claude, Motion, Gemini + VEO for everything from planning and scripting to editing and organization. I upgraded to paid plans and haven’t looked back.

8. Generosity: Donations are a business value for me, not an afterthought. Giving from a place of alignment, not pressure, was a powerful shift this year.

As service providers, we feel the pressure to “make the most” of Black Friday… even though this week has never been the real revenue driver for our industry.

Most buyers are traveling, resting, catching up, and overwhelmed with the never ending deals in the e-commerce world.

So instead of pushing harder, maybe this week calls for something different: a calm presence, and a real sense of gratitude for how far you’ve come this year.

An intentional post will go further than a frantic one. Share something helpful. Be the grounded voice your clients can trust in a very noisy week.

Here’s some ideas:
1. A gratitude + proof post: share a win from this year and one thing you are grateful for

2. Simple value post: teach one tip that your client can use next week (aim for saves and easy consumption)

3. Year end reflection prompt: ask your audience one question that helps them think deeper about a topic.

Black Friday will pass.

But the trust you build by being steady and thoughtful?
That’s what carries your business into 2026!! (And 2026 is going to be a GOOD ONE!!)

❕ Top-Performing Posts → Note what topics, formats, or hooks got the most engagement. Double down on what worked.

❕ Reach & Follower Growth → See which content attracted new eyes/non followers.

❕ Saves & Shares → These show what stuck. Create more educational or “aha” content like it.
