Is the 60/40 rule broken?

Here’s the reality: bonds aren’t delivering the protection or yield they once did. Meanwhile, indexed annuities when structured well can often outperform the bond sleeve while providing stability.

😮 ❗One carrier even showed that a 50% par rate beat a bond portfolio about 80% of the time. That doesn’t mean annuities are the right answer for everyone but it does mean advisors should be asking the question seriously, not dismissing it out of habit.
