If you’re moving to Scottsdale, the neighborhood you choose will matter most, and many people don’t spend enough time on it.
I moved here 12 years ago, and I didn’t realize I chose the wrong neighborhood until I moved in.
Scottsdale is one of those cities that looks straightforward from the outside.
Desert, sunshine, golf, nice homes, but once you’re on the ground, you realize how different the pockets really are from each other.
North Scottsdale feels completely different from South Scottsdale.
Some areas are heavily local and tucked away. Others are loud and busy in the best or worst way, depending on what you’re into.
And here’s what catches people off guard, the price difference between these areas doesn’t always reflect what you’d expect.
Some of the most undervalued pockets in the city are sitting right next to areas people overlook because they just don’t know to look there.
If you’re relocating here, the house is important. But the part of town you land in is going to shape everything about your day-to-day life.
It’s worth slowing down on that decision.
I made a Scottsdale Neighborhood Guide specifically for people trying to figure this out before they commit.
