Initially, you will speak

with one of our sales executives to discuss your vision and needs. In this early dialog, we review various options and materials that may be utilized in your project. PERMITTING, FABRICATION, & INSTALLATION

Once the design is approved, Western Neon handles the entire project for you: site inspection, coordination with electrical contractor (when necessary), permit drawings, permit applications, fabrication, installation, and beyond. You also receive the Western Neon Warranty at no additional charge — an unparalleled 2 year limited warranty.

Silver leaf + warm illumination = the perfect pairing for Pioneer Square’s newest tank bar 🍻💡

Located at the corner of King Street and Occidental Avenue, the project occupies the former home of FX McRory’s, one of North America’s first sports bars. When it opened in 1977, FX McRory’s earned its reputation through sheer scale, proximity to Seattle’s stadiums, and being among the first technologically modern bars to broadcast live, out-of-market sports.

That legacy is now carried forward by Renee Erickson with the creation of one of the first tank bars in the nation. While pioneering in Pioneer Square, she is no stranger to delivering thoughtful, immersive dining experiences.

For this project, Dovetail Construction brought us on to create a custom illumination feature for Lowlander’s tank bar. Known for their large-scale structural, architectural, and carpentry work, Dovetail needed a lighting element that could meet the scale and presence of the space.

One of our favorite details of this custom piece is the hand-painted script, color-matched in blue and outlined in silver leaf. A flex additive was added to the paint to allow the curved face to move during installation without cracking.
