SIGN PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Studio 3 Signs has been doing business in Seattle for over 25 years.
This is a great opportunity for someone to advance their skill set if they are willing to work hard.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and work directly with sign designers, sales, installers and contractors.
Candidates with sign production and / or vinyl application experience are preferred, but not a requirement.
We will train a highly motivated individual if they are willing to learn the job quickly.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Be able to handle high volume sign production with speed and efficiency.
- Follow a layout to apply full color graphics to a substrate.
- Prepare substrates for application (cutting, painting, laminating and cleaning).
- W**d excess vinyl from computer cut images.
- Performs quality assurance by measuring twice and cutting once.
- Performs finishing operations such as laminating, and/or mounting of printed pieces.
- Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
- Help unload raw materials.
- Clean and maintain shop / storage areas.
- Work on different projects simultaneously, with the ability to switch gears.
- Be able to work well with your hands and have a desire to create unique sign projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- The ability to use a tape measure.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to use light power equipment: laminator, panel saw, other battery operated power tools.
- Organization skills are required, in order to work effectively in our industry, this is done by maintaining a clean environment with the ability to prioritize workflow.
- Finally you must be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision.
Ideal candidate will have a valid Driver's License and be comfortable driving our company van in downtown Seattle traffic. However, this is not a requirement of the position.
In the future, candidate will have the ability to earn the privilege that their team members have gained and receive a performance bonus on a monthly basis.
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm.
$16.00/hr with benefits to start. If candidate has industry experience we may offer a higher hourly rate of pay.
