I like to say I was born with a magenta crayon in my hand. Since then, I've been doing my best to hone my drawing skills 🖍️, taking all the art classes 🎨 I had access to, going to art school for 2 advanced degrees 🎓 and creating graphics for clients since the early 80s.
And I will tell you that despite decades of constant practice, I still can't draw, paint, or even design as well as I'd like. 😭
And so I understand the frustration many folks without as much training have when they want to express themselves visually but don't have the skills to pull it off.
Sometimes folks gathered thousands of dollars to pay someone like me to create an amazing logo, banner and website for them, but that was not financially sustainable for most.
Recently everything changed because of AI. 🤖
Now I know there are a bunch of artists out there who feel totally threatened by the fact that due to AI, anyone without a shred of drawing ability can create stunning illustrations in a matter of minutes. (Are you an artist who feels threatened by AI? I'd like to hear from you!)
I feel differently because I believe all humans are creative and they just need the right tool 💡to be able to express themselves more beautifully.
Like back in the olden days before there was even photography 📸, you had to have a lot of hand/eye coordination to create reasonably good art. Then photographers came on the scene in the 1800s and were scorned as not 'real' artists. They blazed the way for other mediums to be explored by artists.
Now with AI tools, I can create illustrations that are way above my actual skill level when holding a pencil or brush, or even using Photoshop which I have done since 1986.
Now anyone with a vision, some basic understanding of style, and access to a computer or smart phone can create unbelievably gorgeous images even with no artistic skills whatsoever. It just requires a bit of education around how to create the right prompts.
Art that was once a physical and financial impossibility for most spiritual entrepreneurs is accessible on the most frugal marketing budget.
So instead of freaking out and hiding away as if AI weren't happening, I've been mastering how to get the best results from tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney and Photoshop, and teaching this to others who desire more control over their visual communications.
Starting next Tuesday, October 22nd at 9am PT / 12pm ET I'm hosting a 3-part mini-series where I will discuss why beautiful graphics are so important when attracting divinely aligned clients online, and what AI can do for you (and what it can’t do for you) to raise the vibration of your marketing, books, card decks, and other creative projects.
Each day I'll select at least one person from the audience to direct me in creating a beautiful illustration that they can take home with them!
