While our world goes through tumultuous times filled with arguments over social, economical and political opinions, the one thing we must remember is our common thread of Planet Earth. Above all, we are humans. We are nature. It is up to us to make this planet a habitable one for all who inhabit it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It has been a known thing in the environmental community that BIPOC disproportionately face risks of pollution and that the polluting industries are often in their communities. () With the recent social climate, we have noticed more activists advocating for as a way to bring race into the conversations of environmentalists. While we are glad that more of these topics are coming to the forefront of media, we must remember that the work does.not.stop. It is our job to ensure that everyone's foot stays on the gas pedal until environmental justice has been accomplished.
