This Memorial Day is deeply personal for me. 🇺🇸🕊️
I want to take a moment to honor my dad — Walter Parker Ellis Jr., a proud Vietnam Veteran and my absolute hero. It will be one year in June since I lost him, and not a single day goes by that I don't feel how much he meant to me and how proud I am to be his daughter.
Dad, you served this country with courage and strength, and you served our family with even more. Thank you for everything you sacrificed. Thank you for showing me what it means to be tough, to keep going, and to do it all with love. I carry you with me every single day. 💙
To every veteran who served and made it home — thank you. To those whose loved ones never made it back — we hold you close today. And to every Gold Star family and every person who has lost someone who wore this country's uniform — we see you, we honor you, and we will never forget. 🙏
