Todays Tech Tip from RBA Marketing - If your name is not the registrant on your domain, it can cause huge issues when you decide to move your website - If a business is not listed as the registrant of its domain, it effectively does not own the web address. This situation often occurs when a web designer, employee, or marketing agency registers the domain in their own name on behalf of the business.

"A web URL registrant (or domain name registrant) is the individual, business, or organization that legally registers and holds the rights to use a specific domain name (e.g., example.com) for a website or email. They are the "owner" of the domain for the duration of their registration contract with a domain registrar."

At RBA Marketing we are proud supporters of United Way of Sevier County and Dancing with the Stars. When Team Slingerland came out with a challenge, we knew we had to participate. The rules are simple, wear a t-shirt and shorts, make a snow angel or donate $100 to United Way. Make sure you challenge three other people or families. I challenge Tim Bismarck of United Way of Sevier County, Missy Norris of New Direction Real Estate, and Joy Maples of Smoky Mountain Escapes. Let there be no doubt of our commitment, or at least that we are committable. :)
