So excited for The Daffodil Festival 2026!

An avid gardener and Pierce County native, Anitra's idea for she and Bob's theme shines through this year.

It is with great pleasure we announce the 2026 Daffodil Festival theme "Bloom Where You're Planted"

Co-President Anitra Sudderth explains: "I feel like that is something that every day could wake up and think, ‘Bloom where you’re planted’ and understand that there are some daffodil bugs along the way but not to worry. Tomorrow’s another day and that is what you need, to be ready to bloom in the next day."

This year’s theme embodies Pierce County and the Daffodil Festival’s roots in agriculture and community.

A little outside my usual style, 2025 Daffodil President Marin envisioned a maximalist approach to “Growing Locally” - also an ode to her family’s longstanding farm.

✨ Package Design ✨

If you haven’t already tried - stop whatever you’re doing and order a bag! Hailing from Seward, Alaska, this this small batch artisan roaster offers some of the best beans this former barista had come across.

I am so grateful Nicole reached out to me to make her custom-bag dreams a reality! The background photo was taken by her on a kayak trip in Resurrection Bay.

Beautiful! Now to stop drooling and brew a cup. Let me know what you think. ☕️🏔️

We made it to Texas this week!

I won’t be taking on new clients just yet. I’ll keep y’all posted when I’m settled in.

My husband said I couldn’t buy any more mugs… so I’ve now MADE 5! ☕️ (That doesn’t break the rules, right?)

One already lives with a relative, but the following images show in the order they were made.

The green/purple looking one is so uneven and whimsical. It almost was unusable as I accidentally had the glaze blister inside the bottom, but a refire in our community kiln fixed things up! (Thank you to my instructor Pete Henschel for both the guidance and patience with me.)

Doing creative things for a living can sometimes “suck the joy out” of it, so doing something like pottery as an experimental hobby with little to no pressure (other than my own expectations and challenges, as I am not used to being a novice at things…) is helping me spark that joy again!
