I am from Vienna, Austria and working as a local artist in Shalimar, Florida now. During the last 20 years I explored and cultivated my great love for block printing, stamp cutting, sewing, fiber arts and several other very old techniques. My main

interest and field of expertise is European embroidery & clothing from the 11th to the 14th century. The work on my medieval projects is based on 20 years of research, experience and a lot of practice. Creativity does not only happen in the workshop.....my little front yard garden is my small island of peace where I start my day and recharge with some garden work before I head to my workshop. It took quite a lot of work, experimentation and struggle to find plants that survive the brutal Florida sun and the poor sandy soil I am working with but I think I am slowly getting there...
