The Fort Walton Beach Police Department invites YOU to join their Citizen's Police Academy, kicking off Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6-8 PM at the FWBPD headquarters on 7 Hollywood Boulevard NE. 🚔👮‍♀️

✅ Gain a deeper understanding of the laws and policies guiding law enforcement

Schuyler Black and I had the opportunity to speak with Congressman Matt Gaetz this morning! It was a pleasure to speak with him about what he is fighting for in DC.

But even more important... He really just wanted to talk about how much he loved this area and how he was planning on spending the Fourth of July! (It's kind of cool to talk to your Congressman when he is heading to fill up his pontoon and put it on the water for a day of family and fun!)

Governor DeSantis has designated June 6 as Revive Awareness Day, and our community is taking substantial steps to raise awareness and support those affected by opioid addiction.

From launching the Post Overdose Support Team in Fort Walton Beach to providing life-saving "Your Life Was Saved" kits, Okaloosa County is committed to making a lasting impact. Thanks to these persistent efforts, overdoses are slightly down, but the work is far from over.
