I am planning on another tour on August 14th 2026 of Justin Morgan historical locations in Vermont. Here are the locations we plan on going to.
Figure's grave site in Tunbridge VT. We will go to the site located next to the road for the public to view. We will then go to the actual grave site of where Figure was actually buried.
Then we will travel to Randolph Vermont to Justin Morgan the man's grave site followed by the Justin Morgan home site. The home site is the actual location the Justin Morgan actually settled is 1788 and brought his horse Figure to in 1792. Yes, Morgan lived in Randolph Vermont and his horse Figure was pastured across the road in Brookfield Vermont. Morgan actually did live on the town line! We will finish at the Randolph Vermont museum.

I will be putting on a tour August 8th 2025, going to many historical Morgan horse locations in Vermont.
Starting with the gravesite of Figure in Tunbridge. We will visit the most recent grave marker located next to the road and then will proceed to the original marker that is located at the spot where it's been said that Figure was buried.
We will then go to Randolph Center Vermont to the gravesite of Justin Morgan the man. It's a site that Morgan along with his wife and brother are buried and is located right next to the church that he attended.
We will continue to the Morgan Homesite where Morgan settled in 1788 and brought his c**t Figure to in 1792. Morgan settled on one side of the road in Randolph, and he pastured Figure on the other side of the road in Brookfield on land owned by Fredrick Griswold.
We will then make a quick visit to the Green Mountain Stock Farm, where Robert Lippitt Knight started the Lippitt Morgan Farm.
Lastly, we will go to the Randolph Museum and see the many items they have on display like the original headstone of Justin Morgan and other items about the Lippitt Morgan.
We will leave the Tunbridge Fairgrounds at 12 pm on Friday August 8th. The cost is $20 per person. If interested, contact me at [email protected] or call me at 802 763-2516
