Today, we honor the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson (1941–2026), a towering civil rights leader, Baptist minister and tireless advocate for justice, equality and human dignity.
From his early days marching with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to founding the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and running historic presidential campaigns, Jackson spent more than six decades lifting up the oppressed and giving voice to the voiceless. He died peacefully at age 84, surrounded by family.
We join the world in mourning his loss and recommit to the values he lived by.
