The pro farmer crop tour rolled through IN yesterday. Here is what they found. Yields below last year, but not as disastrous as some have feared with all this water… But perhaps it’s too early to tell?

Good news alert! 🚨 RMA has done us a favor and pushed back the federal crop insurance premium due date 60 days until November 30th.

Technically in their language they pushed back the “interest accrual date 60 days”.

Long story short, you can keep your money till the end of November with no penalty and no interest. 👌🏼

Our harvest price has been set. We had quite the rally over the last month so we increased a good amount from our planting price. Definitely won’t have any claims from revenue lost on price. If you had yields lower than expected, let me know so we can check eligibility for a claim. Otherwise, hope everybody struck while the iron was hot! 📈

The local rundown of the USDA report that was released this afternoon.

Also of note, corn is 42% emerged in IN and 46% in IL. Soybeans emergence is 42% in IN and 44% in IL.

Here is our weekly look at the local news from the weekly USDA crop progress report.

Frost risk is rising across the corn belt, especially in northern areas, with cooler-than-normal temps. Continued rains in the forecast will likely slow remaining planting progress.
