John Sweeney For Bedford Co. Sheriff

Something we do not talk about enough is the toll this work takes on the people doing it.

Our deputies put on that badge every single day and walk into situations that most people will never see. They carry things home that they cannot always explain. And for too long the culture in law enforcement has said you just push through it. You do not talk about it. You are fine.

That stigma has cost us. It has cost families. It has cost careers. And in some cases it has cost lives.

I believe that has to change. A deputy who is struggling should never feel like asking for help puts their job or their reputation at risk. The strength it takes to wear that badge every day is the same strength it takes to say I need support. Those two things are not opposites.

I serve on a mental health nonprofit board because this is personal to me. As Sheriff I am committed to making sure the men and women behind that badge in Bedford County know they are not alone and that their wellbeing matters as much as the community they protect.

We cannot pour from an empty cup. And our deputies give everything they have to this county every single day.
Together, we make Bedford stronger.

Day 21 of Dana's Birthday Month Dana and Steven went to The Park Theater in McMinnville to Becky Buller Bluegrass Concert. This Award winning performer and band was fantastic! We really enjoyed the concert.

Food Trucks in the City limits of Shelbyville Tennessee. Shelbyville needs to adopt the same fees and regulations as Wi******er Tennessee has on the books.
Operational Guidelines for Downtown
While the ordinance allows for mobile vending, it establishes clear rules on where and how business can be conducted:
Permitted Locations: Food trucks, trailers, and tents are allowed to sell products within the city after obtaining the necessary local business license.
Special Event Zones: During large downtown events, special regulations apply. The city typically charges a $200-per-event fee to event sponsors or outside vendors who do not hold a permanent Wi******er annual license.
Private vs. Public Property: Generally, vendors operate in commercially-zoned parking lots or on private property with owner permission, provided they do not block traffic or visibility.
Our Community needs to support our Restaurants that are here paying rent, owning buildings, and paying taxes.

Shelbyville Carpet & Tracey's Draperies
Shelbyville Carpet & Tile replaced every inch and more of tile throughout our entire home along with bathroom walls and kitchen back splash. They did all my window blinds and custom made drapreies. Everthing was done professionally and we were more the satisfied with their workmanship.
