Abuse in long-term care facilities is unfortunately all too common across the country. But who can you go to with your concerns if you suspect a loved one is suffering in care? If they are in immediate danger, always call 9-1-1. However, there are several other sources you should know who will accept reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of people in care facilities, including the Regional Ombudsman, State Department of Health, and associated hotlines.
