We tested our own website with our own tool, and the first result wasn't pretty.

In August we scored 70 out of 100. Our new site didn't have a phone number on it, and AI couldn't find a single review of us.

We put a phone number on the site and made our details match everywhere we're listed. Then we opened a Trustpilot page, and a few customers left reviews. By October we were at 83.

If AI stopped mentioning your business lately, here's what we learned:

The typical page AI cites loses half those citations in 11 days. Here's why your business vanished from ChatGPT, and what lasts longer.

Getting calls or emails saying your business is "invisible in AI"?

Read this before you pay anyone. We looked at the websites of 32 companies selling that pitch. Almost all of them sell the same number, and part of it is free from Google now.

What really matters is whether AI recommends you when a customer asks. That comes down to proof AI can check, like your prices and your reviews.

Honest Fix Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing in Steubenville, Ohio fixed three things on their own website. A month or two later, a customer told them ChatGPT sent them their way.

Here are four questions to ask the next salesperson who calls: https://aitrustsignals.com/post/we-read-32-ai-visibility-software-homepages

Ever feel like the AI rules change every week? Track citations. No, track prompts. Get on Reddit. Wait, Reddit doesn't count anymore?

You're not imagining it. This month even the AI tracking companies admitted their numbers swing all over the place.

Here's what hasn't changed. Your customers still want to know what it costs, what could go wrong, how you compare and what other customers say. Answer those questions and AI has a reason to recommend you.

Marcus Sheridan has been teaching that for 20 years. AI finally caught up.

AI tracking companies admit scores wobble and citations change daily. Here's what the new data says, and what buyers still trust.

Getting cited by ChatGPT sounds great.

But here’s the catch: cited doesn’t mean trusted.
And trusted doesn’t always mean recommended.

That’s a big deal if you’re a business owner. AI can find your site, quote your content, and still decide someone else is the better choice.

Why?

Proof.

Can it verify who you are?
Can it confirm your expertise?
Can it find other sources that back you up?

That’s the difference between showing up and actually getting picked.

Marcus Sheridan breaks down the research behind this in our latest post, plus what we’re seeing across thousands of businesses inside AI Trust Signals.

If AI visibility matters to your business, read this one:

New research across 7 AI platforms and 55,000 tests found that being mentioned by AI is not the same as being believed. Only 0.6% of businesses show real proof.

If you own a business, here’s the question you should be asking:

When someone asks ChatGPT who they should hire, buy from, or call… does AI trust your business enough to recommend you?

That’s what AI Trust Signals 2.0 is built to help you understand.

Not just whether your company shows up in AI.

But why AI recommends you, why it skips you, and what you can actually do about it.

It comes down to three simple questions:

Can AI read you?
Do you know your stuff?
Does anyone back you up?

These aren’t “AI tricks.” They’re the same things that have always made people trust a business.

We’ve also acquired Jarts.io, which gave us some powerful new technology to make the platform even more useful for business owners.

It's a simpler way to see where your business stands, what’s hurting you, and what to fix first when it comes to AI.

No giant enterprise software.
No need to become an AI expert.
No spending an arm and a leg just to figure out what’s going on.

If you want to see what’s new, we broke it all down here:

When someone asks ChatGPT or Google AI about your category, the AI does not just search once and return an answer. It runs a multi-step process that scores, filters, and compares every source it finds. Most brands get cut somewhere in that process, and they never know it happened.

Transparent pricing for AI works in three layers, and all three have to align. The Content Layer publishes honest ranges in a crawlable format. The Technical Layer wraps those ranges in PriceSpecification schema so AI can read them as facts. The Operational Layer makes sure your phone reps and Googl...
