There was a time when I didn't speak much about my journey, and I certainly didn't share numbers like MRR with anyone outside my inner circle. Silence became my sanctuary, my way of moving through the noise unnoticed. But man, the last few months have been nothing short of transformative.
Let me take you back.
I found myself at the crossroads, rebuilding from the ground up when I first hit $10k in sales with my marketing business. I watched people I once admired crash and burn, and it terrified me. I didn’t want to become another cautionary tale. So, I made a choice—a hard reset. I stripped everything back and started over, determined to build something that could withstand the storms.
Hiring came next. I went through a phase of bringing in different people, most of them great on paper, but not the right fit for the vision I was nurturing. One by one, they left, or I had to make the tough call to let them go. It was frustrating, demoralizing even, until my best friend stepped in. Together, we clicked, and suddenly, it was like the universe aligned. We took off, not just as a business but as a team. We built something I could be proud of, with people who shared the same hunger, the same fire.
And then, the partnerships started rolling in. Power players from different industries saw what we were doing and wanted in. I even became part owner of a painting company—a venture that has been nothing short of extraordinary. Clients and partners began raving about the results we were delivering. Their customers couldn’t stop talking about the customer experience we’d crafted. They said we were different, better, unmatched in the market.
And just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, I saw my dad two days ago for the first time in two years. I hadn’t been back home in five. That reunion, that moment, was the culmination of everything I’d been working for. It was the smile on my face, the one you see right now.
But here’s the thing—I’m just getting started. There’s more on the horizon, more incredible partnerships brewing, more referrals coming in because of how we work and the impact we make. I’m beyond grateful. I know none of this would have been possible without the big man upstairs, and for those who have been on this ride with me—if you’re in a place where you feel stuck, where the odds seem insurmountable—don’t quit. Keep pushing. The world may not see your struggle, but what you do behind closed doors is what defines you.
I’ve been betrayed, I’ve stumbled more times than I can count, but I promise you, it gets better. Keep fighting through the nightmares to live the dream. Never give up. Sharpen your focus, grind harder than ever before. No excuses. Embrace adversity before it finds you.
And stay tuned—I’ve got more to share, and it’s going to be one hell of a ride. Happy Labor Day weekend!
