All websites under our maintenance agreements have been updated to the latest release of WordPress which patches 3 vulnerabilities, including a High Severity SQLi Vulnerability.

On August 30, 2022, the WordPress core team released WordPress version 6.0.2, which contains patches for 3 vulnerabilities, including a High Severity SQLi vulnerability in the Links functionality as well as two Medium Severity Cross-Site Scripting vulnerabilities. Since March this has been a very difficult time for individuals and businesses. Web Image Designs is fortunate to be able to continue to conduct business and service customers. I understand that not all businesses were able to continue to operate during this time and this has created a financial hardship for some. I feel deeply for the businesses that have closed, or may need to close, and for the employees who have lost their employment.

However, today I had two clients ask if I was going to charge them for my services. The answer is yes. Web Image Designs is a small business that needs to continue to generate revenue to remain in business. My services and the expertise to deliver those services is what I “sell”. If I don’t charge for my services than I won’t be in business and I won’t be available to “help” you later. I wonder if those same people ask Starbucks, the grocery store, the veterinary, the car mechanic … if they are going to charge them for their services?
